Welcome to the Council on Renal Nutrition of Greater New York. We are a non-profit affiliate of the National Kidney Foundation. We are recognized as a large professional council and our membership continues to grow. We were formed to promote education, research, and communication within the field of renal nutrition.
We have been providing educational opportunities to the Greater New York area for over 25 years, and have been affiliated with the NKF for 15 years. Our council has a minimum of 4 educational sessions per year and an all-day seminar every other year. Continuing education credits are available for all meetings and seminars.
Some past speakers include Joel Kopple, MD, Richard Amerling, MD, Linda McCann, RD, CSR, LD, and Joseph Vassalotti, MD, FASN, Chief Medical Officer of NKF.
We have held joint-meetings with Greater New York Dietetic Association, The Association of Nephrology Nurses - Big Apple Chapter, and The Council of Social Workers of New York. We look forward to your membership and participation in our continuing and forward effort to enhance the level of education and further promote the interest of our local dietitians and nutritionists.
